Installing InQuizitor and the InQuizitor Editor

1. Download the InQuizitor Solo installer
Select and download a suitable installer for your system from the Downloads page.

2. Extract the Installers
Solo Extractor Once the download has completed double-click the EXE to extract the installers and install menu. Follow the wizard through, choose a location to extract to or simply accept the default and continue. At the end be sure to select “Launch CD Install Menu” before clicking Finish. You should now see the Install Menu.


3. Install Java
Solo Install If you haven't already got it you will need to install Java. Java comes bundled with InQuizitor. Click on “Install Java” in the Install Menu. You will need to have Java 6 or better to run InQuizitor. You can also download the most up to date version of the Java Runtime Environment from Java.com (opens in new window).

4. Install InQuizitor
Click on “Install InQuizitor Player” to install the main Quiz player application. Click on “Install InQuizitor Editor” to install the Quiz and Question Bank editor.


Installing and Activating your License

If you have purchased a full License for InQuizitor, here's how you can install the License file into the application.

1. Save the License file to a local directory
The License file will have been delivered to you as an attachment to an email. Save the file to any convenient directory on your computer. For example, your Desktop or Documents folder.

2. Run InQuizitor
You can install the license in either InQuizitor Player or InQuizitor Editor, however here we will use the Editor.

If your trial period has expired, the License Wizard dialog will appear when you run InQuizitor and you can go straight to Step 4.

3. Run the “Upgrade License” wizard
Licensing Button Once the application has loaded click the “Licensing” button in the bottom left toolbar and from the menu which appears select “Upgrade License”. The License Wizard dialog will then appear.

4. Install the License file
Select Licence From the first screen of the License Wizard select “I have a valid license file” then click the “Next” button. Now either type in the path to the License file or click the ellipses ”…” button to and use the File/Open dialog to browse for it. Once the file has been selected click “Next”.

5. Activate the License
If the License is valid you will now need to activate it. You can choose to activate online which requires an active internet connection. Or you can choose to activate offline if you're not currently connected to the net.

6. Use InQuizitor
If all the above steps completed successfully you can now close the wizard and continue using InQuizitor. Enjoy.
