InQuizitor Editor
The InQuizitor Editor is the authoring tool for working with content that will run in the InQuizitor Player.
It's a powerful, yet very easy way to work with the two elements of InQuizitor content; Question Banks and Quizzes.
Question Banks
Question Banks are the raw material of the InQuizitor content model.
A Question Bank is a simply a file containing a set of questions, (optional) illustrations, answers and distractors. While these are usually on a specific subject (a curriculum topic, textbook, or other unit of study) how you organise them is entirely up to you.
The Editor gives you a powerful set of tools so you can quickly and easily create or edit the Question Banks you need to support your teaching.
With the Editor you can:
- Edit existing Question Banks (purchased from 3MRT or obtained from any third party) to make sure they reflect the way you teach
- Convert your existing paper or digital quiz content to InQuizitor format
- Create new Question Banks from scratch, to cover any topic you choose.
Quizzes
An InQuizitor Quiz is a combination of a set of questions and the parameters that control how the Quiz will behave.
By choosing different Quiz settings you can create many different Quizzes from one set of content, each Quiz optimized for a particular mode of use or cohort of pupils.
With the Editor you can control:
- The number of potential questions in the "pool" and how many will be asked each time the Quiz is run
- If questions will be asked in random or fixed order
- Start and finish difficulty levels ...
- ... and how the player moves up through the levels
- The number of lives (incorrect answers) allowed - or switch this feature off
- The time available for answering each question
- Whether or not the game elements are available
... or you can accept the suggested default settings for an almost-instant Quiz setup.
